When Jin Sakai returned to his family home and reunited with his former caretaker Yuriko, he asked her about the rat poison she used to make when he was a child. After some convincing Yuriko taught Jin how to make a more powerful rat poison, and later a hallucination drug. It wasn’t honorable, but Jin Sakai used these poisons to coat blow darts and fired them out of this blowgun in his attempts to defeat the Mongols and save Tsushima.
Item Usage[]
These blowguns contain 3 darts as ammo and once they are consumed the Blowgun will disappear. Each blowgun will come with either Poison Darts or Hallucination Darts, and it is a 75/25 chance of which you’ll get. Three colored darts, either purple or yellow, will appear next to the fighter’s portrait to indicate to them whether they have poison darts or hallucination darts respectively.
Both darts will deal a small amount of damage and no knockback if they strike an opponent, but each has a special effect as well. Poison Darts will cause a fighter to take additional small hits of poison damage every second for 10 seconds. Hallucination Darts meanwhile will cause an opponent’s left and right controls to be scrambled for 4 seconds. If the same opponent is struck again, their timer will be reset instead of an additional 10 or 4 seconds being added.
