Though the Blood Sword’s design changes from one game to another, it is typically associated with having a deep red color to it as if the blade is stained with blood. This sword is unique among weapons as it is capable of absorbing a portion of the damage that it inflicts and converting that into health for its wielder. This however is reversed if the Blood Sword is used to attack an Undead creature as it will instead hurt its wielder and heal the Undead foe. When Firion gets pulled into the war between Cosmos and Chaos, he uses the Blood Sword and other blood weaponry whenever he activates his EX Mode.
Item Usage[]
The Blood Sword is a very powerful melee item which fighters can use to not only damage their foes, but heal themselves as well. Attacks made with the Blood Sword will end up healing their wielder for the full amount of damage that the Blood Sword inflicted. This effect will also work if you were to throw the Blood Sword and hit an opponent that way. However once the Blood Sword hits the ground it will no longer be under your control and can be picked up and used by another fighter. Due to its healing capabilities, the Blood Sword will break sooner than your average melee weapon.
