Stage Info[]

Under a cloudy blue sky, a serene grassy hill spans the horizon of Napa Valley, California. Originally a vineyard, a devastating pest infestation at the time forced it to be stripped in preparation for replanting. Its iconic photograph was taken by freelance photographer Charles O’Rear in January of 1996. The photo was later acquired by Microsoft and used as the default desktop wallpaper for their Windows XP system, and is estimated to be the most-viewed photograph in history.

Stage Layout[]

Bliss consists of a gently-sloping grass hill leading to walk-offs on either side. It’s fairly wide though, so there’s plenty of space to traverse. Fluffy clouds float by unassumingly in the clear blue sky. One could almost become transfixed by the scenery and lose all will to fight. Almost.

Hazards[]

If hazards are enabled, Clippy will sometimes pop up from the bottom right of the screen, overlaid on the screen rather than the stage itself similar to Nikki. He will make comments based on how the players are performing, such as:

  • “It looks like your neutral special has staled. Would you like to disable your B button?”
  • “It looks like your shield is broken. Do you want help mashing?”
  • “It looks like your opponent is at a massive advantage. Would you like to Self-Destruct?”

If hazards are off, Clippy won’t appear. Serves him right, the little jerk.
