The fully evolved form of Kanto’s Water-type Starter, Squirtle. Blastoise are large tortoise-like Pokemon which somehow have massive cannons coming out of their shells from which they can fire highly pressurized jets of water with enough force to break through concrete walls. By using Blastoiseite Trainers can evolve their Blastoise further using Mega Evolution and those lucky enough to have a special Blastoise in the Galar region can have them undergo a Gigantamax transformation where even more cannons will burst out of their shell.
Attack Description[]
When Blastoise appears on the stage, a flash of pink energy will surround it looking oddly like a Poke Ball that flies up and over the stage. Seconds later, Blastoise will take over the background of the stage as it grows into its Gigantamax form. All of its various cannons will aim straight up as they fire a volley of water blasts, almost like a machine gun up into the sky. These water blasts will begin to fall onto the stage from above as if you were in a torrential downpour of a thunderstorm. The water blasts are about as big as the Star Rod which in theory would make them easy to dodge, but the speed that they fall as well as the sheer number of them hitting the whole screen makes it pretty much impossible. While these water blasts deal minimal knockback and damage, they are followed by a massive blast of water that’s large enough to cover a third of the Battlefield stage. Players should ensure that they dodge out of the way of this blast as it will deal a lot of damage and can send you flying off the screen.
