Enemy Info[]
The Big Blue Blurp is a variation of the Blurp, a large fish related to the mainline Mario series' Cheep Cheep and Big Bertha. Unlike the standard Blurp, which will simply chase the Yoshis around, trying to eat them, this one is a little more crafty in its ways.
Fight Pattern[]
The Big Blue Blurp appears in water and is fairly agile, though it'll stop when it's within shooting distance with its water spray attack, which tends to be a couple handful of feet away from a character. It is a persistent bugger and could potentially chase its prey across multiple screens, scenario willing. This is some classic Big Bertha, Angry Sun ish.
Attacks[]
Blurp Spurp[]
The Big Blue Blurp stops underneath its prey and shoots out a straight beam of water from its mouth. It will do so repeatedly and in rapid succession. This water doesn't damage a character, but will make them awfully slippery and prone to tripping—that is, if they don't slip off the ledge from the sheer force of the stream first, leaving them susceptible to the enemy's further assault.
Blurp Slurp[]
Once a character's in the water, the Big Blue Blurp will assail them, jumping towards the with haste in an attempt to eat them. Chances are, if the fish catches you, you're toast as it drags you to the bottom of the screen. You can always try and writhe your way out of its clutches, however. If you try hard enough, you just might have a chance.
