Stage Info[]
In the Professor Layton franchise, Big Ben is a clocktower that famously looms over London, just as it does in the real world. It notably features in every Layton game in one way or another, including in the Professor's titular crossover with Phoenix Wright. Big Ben makes a more pronounced appearance in Layton's Mystery Journey, where Katrielle is tasked in the game's first case to find its missing hand. Its largest role by far, though, is in the Eternal Diva movie, where Professor Layton and Luke Triton foil Don Paolo's plan to steal its bell.

Stage Layout[]
Big Ben is a fittingly vertical stage, featuring two prominent landmarks: its clockface, and its bell. Much like Big Ben works in real life, the bell will ring at each turn of the hour. Each "hour" is a pronounced 60 seconds in Smash. When the bell chimes, all platforms on the stage, including the clockhands themselves, will feel a light tremor that could move characters slightly to and fro or even activate items like the Smart Bomb or crush open Crates and Barrels. As hinted upon, characters can fight upon the clockhands, but should be wary of being crushed by the minute hand and subsequently dealt some nice damage as it moves at a much faster pace than the hour one. Otherwise, there's plenty of other platforms to fight upon, with the primary, lowest one being about the size of Delfino Plaza's transportation pad. Fighters might even find their way to the roof for a jab or three!
