Stage Info[]

When Steven Universe was born, his dad, Greg, and The Crystal Gems got together and built the Beach House in front of their Crystal Temple so that the fledgling gem-human hybrid would have a home of his own. Here, Steven grew up with the Crystal Gems and lived an adoring upbringing between them, his father, and the citizens of Beach City. Although Steven has since left his room in the Beach House to his pops, he is always welcome back home. Since the original series, it has been renovated to include several additional fixings, like an observatory that hosts both a warp pad and terrarium.

Stage Layout[]

This is a traveling stage where fighters visit several areas surrounding the Beach House whilst goings-on effect it from time to time. There are four spots that are visited: the Beach, the Deck, the Living Quarters, and the Observatory. They are ferried to each different location by a traveling platform made from wood paneling similar in craft and cut to the Beach House itself, with shining gems growing across its base. Tertiary platforms may appear in solo, duo, or trio arrangements and in a variety of ways, including the standard Battlefield format, an inverted Battlefield format, one with each platform stacked beside each other with vertical, horizontal, or even diagonal movement, or as diagonally-adjusted stationary platforms spread out in an array. Parts of these platform set-up will mix and mingle with their standard variations to provide even more potential layouts. The layouts are randomized.

A number of cameos from the Steven Universe series can be seen throughout the stage, including several who might appear on any portion of the stage like Greg Universe, Connie, Lion, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Peridot, and Lapis Lazuli. Some elements, like spacefaring cameos this side of Lars and Diamond Warships, will only be seen in spaces where the skies are visible. This includes the obvious open areas, but also past the Beach House's front windows while inside.

The Beach[]

The match begins on the beach, which is roughly the same size as Final Destination and just as flat. A walk-off is present on the left side of the stage, whereas fighters will have to swim through a patch of sea to get to the rightmost blast zone. It is a lofty area that would take a high percentage point to be knocked successfully skyward. Sometimes, the ocean tide grows and will spread further out onto the stage, ultimately being able to stretch about one-third over the ground. There's some pull to it, so be aware and don't let it pull you in! Although, it is less likely to KO fighters as it is to inconvenience them with dragging them out for a swim. Here, Greg Universe might make a cameo appearance in the background, driving onto the beach in his trademark van and coming out to strum his guitar.

The Deck[]

Fighters are then taken to the Beach House's front deck. It's a sizable drop in length from the beach itself, but features a set of stairs on the left side of the stage that lead to a small grassy knoll that can also be brawled upon. To its right is railing that, if leapt over, will lead to fighters' demise. The fight can also be taken to parts of the roof, which features deep slants that spread leftwards on its upper level and rightwards on its lower level. The leftwards panel is about half a stroke longer than the right, running just shy of the length of Battlefield's main platform. There's a third level to the roofing that fighters can also duke it out on, which stretches leftwards and up, as well as a small chimney and balcony that follow it, which might be good to play keep-away on. Connie might appear on this part of the stage,

The Living Quarters[]

The Beach House's front door opens and fighters are ushered in to the main interior, split evenly between the family room and kitchen. The split happens at a strand of countertop that can be fought upon, which leads into the kitchen. The kitchen also features a refrigerator that will occasionally burst open with an item, often food, to share with the fighters. To the left is the family room, featuring a television set in the background that is often tuned to a videogame from yesteryear thanks to Steven's trusty GameCube. These titles include The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Otherwise, it's just a flat stretch of land that can be fought upon with a slight staircase lead-off into Steven's bed, which acts as a bounceable platform that will take fighters right to the ceiling to hit their heads!

The Observatory[]

Finally, fighters are brought back outside and over the Beach House to fight within the Observatory. While the Observatory itself is the main feature, there is also a long strip of downward-striking rocky grassland that can be fought upon from outside of its entrance, just barely grazing the top of the Beach House itself. Although, the Beach House will be a foreground layer ahead of the fighters, at this point. The Observatory fades open as fighters enter it and features a wide dome-like interior that would take a third or fourth jump to reach the top of. At its center is a Warp Pad that multiple cameos may warp through to observe the fight as it goes on, though is otherwise merely cosmetic. It's another flat stretch of land, this time roughly three-quarters the size of Final Destination, with slight countertop platforms that can be leapt upon on either side of the stage. In the background, players can observe the plant-life that has been growing in the terrarium-like structure, as well as images of spaceships traveling through the mirror-like reflections of the dome.

The fighters are then taken back upon the aforementioned traveling platform and are treated to a nice, long aerial view of the bustling Beach City before they are taken back to the Beach.

Besides these standard layouts, occasionally one of each Diamonds' hands will appear as additional platforms on the Beach and Deck portions. A warp sound can be heard as Blue, Yellow, and White Diamonds' giant hands descend from the sky, held out in a way that allows fighters to leap onto them as an additional platform. They can be oriented in any number of ways, too, and might occasionally move positions or twitch. They are not inherently hazards, but can bring fighters back up past the blast zone with them if they aren't aware of their movement.

In any area, Lion might come running into the foreground, offering fighters a ride on his back as he runs and jumps haphazardly around the stage before growing bored and using his powers to warp back into the background, letting the fighters drop off from his back as an aside.
