Leader of the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE and adopted father of Marlene, Barret began fighting back against the Shinra Electric Power Company after they blamed his hometown of Corel for a reactor explosion and torched the town to the ground. On Tifa Lockhart’s recommendation he hired the EX-SOLDIER Cloud to help him in his war against Shinra and to blow up reactors in their capital city of Midgar. The war against Shinra got way bigger than Barret could have ever imagined and soon he and AVALANCHE became part of something bigger in the fight to save the entire planet.
Mode of Assistance[]
Barret will use his mounted gun arm in it’s default form of a gatling gun. Barret will run and jump around the stage firing a hail of bullets from his gun. The bullets do minor damage individually but they can easily stack up. The range of his gun is about 1.5x the length of a laser fired from Falco’s blaster. Before disappearing from the stage, Barret will stand still and charge up a sphere of orange energy in front of his gunarm. When the orb grows to about the size of a Smash Ball he’ll fire it straight ahead dealing higher damage to whoever gets in its way. Barret’s Big Shot’s range is as far as it takes for the projectile to either hit something or reach the stage’s blast lines.
