While they look like a regular barrel with an arrow on them, Barrel Cannons are actually able to eject whatever is inside of them with explosive force, hence the name. There are few different variants of Barrel Cannon. Some will immediately expel whatever is inside of them, others will let the occupant choose when they are ready to be launched while the Barrel Cannon either rotates or flies around through the air.

Barrel Cannons look just like regular Barrels with an arrow on them being the only distinguishable feature. So long as a Barrel Cannon is standing in place and inactive, fighters can relax. However once a Barrel Cannon has been picked up and thrown, or attacked and made to roll along the ground, then fighter beware. If a fighter makes contact with an active barrel they will be sucked inside of it as the barrel rolls along the ground.
Clicking the attack button while in a Barrel Cannon will cause the fighter to be fired out in whatever direction the arrow is pointing in. With good timing a fighter can make an easy escape from the Barrel Cannon and potentially be shot into an advantageous position. Poor timing however could see the fighter being fired straight down into the blast zones or towards another hazard. Don’t think you can just hang out in the barrel indefinitely either as the Barrel Cannon will automatically fire out whatever is inside of it after a couple seconds have passed.
