Item Info[]

The discarded peel of an everyday banana. These Banana Peels tend to pop up nearly every time Mario decides to invite his friends out to go karting or to various sporting events. Banana Peels are slippery and can cause people to trip and fall when run over or cause a go kart to spin out and lose control if one gets caught on the kart’s wheels.

Item Usage[]

Banana Peels are an item that you can pick up and throw. Once thrown Banana Peels can deal minor damage if they hit an opponent, but instead of trying to do this your aim should be to make the Banana Peel land on the stage itself. If the Banana Peel lands on the stage it will become a slippery trap. If another fighter runs over the Banana Peel they’ll take a small amount of damage as they trip and fall, becoming momentarily stunned. This also causes the Banana Peel to be flung through the air a short distance and if it stays on a platform then its slippery properties can be triggered a second time before it disappears.

The Banana Peel is unique amongst Items in that it can be spawned in multiple ways. First of all the Banana Gun item becomes a Banana Peel when its single projectile has been fired. The Prank Banana item even fires out Banana Peels themselves as projectiles! Banana Peels can also be tossed by Diddy Kong when he uses his Down Special, even if Items are turned off in the settings!
