Purchasable from Cranky Kong and Funky Kong, the Banana Juice is quite the interesting item. In DKCR, it will grant Donkey Kong ten additional hearts, but be warned as they are temporary. Once one of these hearts has been used up, it's gone forever or at least until you drink another Banana Juice. In the 3D remake, if you play New Mode then Banana Juice will protect the Kongs from the next 5 hits of damage that they take. In Tropical Freeze the item was retooled again and now allows for the Kongs to be temporarily immune to damage for a short period of time.
Item Usage[]
In Smash, drinking the Banana Juice will turn you into a “Gold Fighter” similar to the gimmick of the Golden Plains stage. For the next 12 seconds you will gain Super Armor status making you immune to knockback as well as increasing the overall strength of your attacks until the effects end.
