The Banana Gun is certainly a unique item and was created for Smash. It looks like a banana and it can fire one too! It’s possible that it was inspired by the Coconut Gun, Peanut Popguns, Grape Shooter, and Pineapple Launcher from Donkey Kong 64.
Item Usage[]
While it may look just like a regular run-of-the-mill banana, when the attack button is pressed this Banana Gun will fire out a banana! The banana will fly slowly through the air, but when it makes contact with anything it will explode with comical banana imagery (such as extra bananas seeming to appear out of yellowy explosion) and will deal high knockback to anyone caught in its blast.
When its one round of ammunition has been fired, you are left with just the Banana Peel and at that point you can throw it where it will act just like the Banana Peel item.
