The Back Shield is a magical shield that Pit, or other angels, can pick up and use while in combat. While most shields are either worn on the arm or held in one’s hand, the Back Shield will instead float magically behind its wielder. This allows the Back Shield to automatically protect its wearer from any attacks that would hit them from behind.
Item Usage[]
When a fighter picks up the Back Shield it will magically start floating behind their back to protect them from attacks. This shield will last up to 30 seconds, but that time can be reduced based on how much damage it has taken for its fighter. Certain attacks are capable of piercing through the shield’s defenses however and it does not prevent the fighter from being grabbed from behind.
