Assist Trophy Info[]
When Samus was sent to SR388 by the Galactic Federation on a mission to exterminate the entirety of the Metroid species so they could no longer be used as a weapon against them, Samus had no problems doing so until she came across the last Metroid egg. Samus’ hesitation to fire on the Baby Metroid when it hatched from its egg led to it imprinting upon Samus as its mother. The Baby Metroid traveled with Samus for a time and was cared for by her up until the moment when it gave its life for her in the battle against Mother Brain and saved Samus’ life.
Mode of Assistance[]
The Baby Metroid Assist Trophy works the same way as the previous Metroid Assist Trophies did in Brawl and Smash 4. The only change here is that the Metroid has been reskinned to specifically be the Baby Metroid. The Baby Metroid will help out its friend who summoned it by floating around and latching onto an enemy’s head. The Baby Metroid will drain their life essence from them as damage is consistently dealt to them until they are able to shake the Baby Metroid off or its had its fill.
