Within the ranks of Organization XIII Axel is known as the Flurry of Dancing Flames. His command over fire and the Assassin-class Nobodies makes him the perfect choice to act as a double agent when he was sent to spy on Marluxia at Castle Oblivion. Inside the Organization Axel was friends with Roxas and Xion and it was due to that friendship that he eventually switched sides so that he could aid Sora. When Axel and his Heartless counterpart were restored he was returned to his former self, Lea, and would in time gain his own Keyblade to use as a Guardian of Light.
Mode of Assistance[]
Axel arrives onto the battlefield already swinging his chakrams around him with flourish as he channels his fire to spin along with the chakrams and readies himself for an attack. During these opening moments players who are next to Axel can be damaged by these attacks before Axel lets out a burst of fire around him. When this occurs the entire platform that Axel is standing on will turn to lava and damage any player (other than Axel’s summoner) that touches it before launching them into the air. Additionally fall pillars of fire will spring up from the bottom of the screen all over the stage one after another with each quickly receding after reaching their maximum height. These flaming pillars reach high above the stage and can deal quite a bit of damage. It’s even possible for players to be juggled between them if they get hit just right. After the sixth flaming pillar has disappeared Axel will take his leave with the lava fading away mere moments after Axel.
