Stage Info[]
Throughout Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, the Crimean people question their leader, Elincia, and her political expediency. A rebellion enacted by Lord Ludveck of Felirae sees a potential exchange of prisoners: Ludveck for Elincia's trusted strategist and retainer, Lucia. Elinicia flexes her muscle, refusing to give Ludveck up as the Greil Mercenaries set into action. Ike and his company set siege on Fort Alpea, set to save Lucia and dispatch Ludveck's remaining forces in the process. This stage represents this iconic moment in the Radiant Saga storyline.
Stage Design[]
Stage Layout[]
Attack on Fort Alpea captures the exact moment that Ike's forces lay siege on Felirae. Ludveck's forces deftly engage with the Greil Mercenaries for what amounts to a losing battle. As the Greil Mercenaries sweep the Feliraean troops, characters fight around and even on top of the gallows. (Lucia is spared moments before the battle begins, thanks to one of Shinon's arrows, so we're saved from any testy imagery. As the battle starts, Lucia is in Ike's arms and is run into the background's battle.) It's a fairly large area, roughly the size of Final Destination, with the gallows at its center. A small wooden platform represents the top of the gallows, and fighters can battle on its more sizable lower platform and large staircase.
The battle moves onto a set of five floating platforms for variable portions of time before returning to another angle of the gallows. The position of the staircase will change. At some points, the gallows will be less present in the foreground than others. Beyond that, though, most of the chaotic turning points are seen in the battle engaged in the background. Like on Altean Exile, occasionally these background elements will leak into the foreground.
On the traveling set piece, the center platform will always remain rooted in place. However, sometimes the other platforms will move in different formations. These formations include a pinwheel rotation, side-to-side movements, and up-and-down movements.
All members of the Greil Mercenaries can be seen fighting in the background against Ludveck's forces. These include Radiant Dawn's Ike, Titania, Mist, Boyd, Mia, Soren, Rhys, Oscar, Rolf, Shinon, and Gatrie, as well as Lucia. Villagers look on like a rousing rabble, and it's unclear on if they're supporting Ike or Ludveck's forces.
Stage Hazards[]
Soldier:[]
Every so often, a Felirae Soldier will wander into the foreground. Their attacks are simple, consisting of calculated jabs and sweeps with their lance. They can be dispatched with just a few hits.
Cavalier:[]
Felirae Cavaliers may also dash their way into the foreground on horseback, ramming into their foes while sweeping their swords downwards, into them. A few hits will knock them off of their horses. Once the beasts spook off, these guys are mincemeat and end up running off along with them. If you want, you can probably chase them down and knock 'em out anyway.
Knight:[]
Slow-moving Knights complete the Feliraean trio of enemy units. Using heavy axes, blows from these guys can be devastating. They're easy to avoid, but difficult to dispatch with their hefty armor.
Wind:[]
Soren's well-meaning Wind magic will mostly be taking care of Ludveck's forces, but it will occasionally burst through the foreground. It will horizontally travel across the stage fairly swiftly, and characters caught in its wake will be dealt damage and be carried along with it accordingly.
