Character Info[]

Arzette is the princess of the Kingdom of Faramore. After helping her father King Rahklin vanquish the demon lord Daimur and sealing him away with the Jewel of Faramore, the kingdom enjoyed a brief era of peace. About a decade later Daimur managed to break free, once again amassing an army of evil to conquer the land. With her father too old to take up arms, it’s up to Arzette to travel the kingdom and reassemble the Jewel’s broken shards to defeat Daimur’s evil for good - and be back before dinner!

General Information[]

Entrance[]

Arzette teleports into place onstage in a puff of smoke, and unsheathes her sword.

Kirby Hat[]

Kirby gains Arzette’s red/yellow hair and gold tiara.

Taunts[]

Up Taunt: A fairy appears and hovers near Arzette’s face, offering a vial of fairy dust; Arzette vehemently refuses, holding up her hands and shaking her head.

Down Taunt: Arzette slouches over and facepalms in exasperation.

Side Taunt: Arzette pulls out a ruby and inspects it, glinting in the light. The colour is randomized each time.

Victory Poses[]

  1. Arzette taps her sword into a sacred beacon to light it. Satisfied, she presses two fingers to her temple and teleports away.
  2. Arzette brandishes her sword; the camera zooms out and tilts down so the sword takes up most of the frame, similar to this pose (“you know, my smart sword only hurts bad people” -> threatening the mayor)
  3. Dail appears along with Arzette, strumming away on his lute. Visibly annoyed, Arzette snatches it and drops it on the floor, then turns back to the camera with a pleased expression.

Moveset[]

Standard Special[]

Smart Gun: Arzette fires a Soulfire round from her Smart Gun. Soulfire rounds have high priority and disrupt most enemy attacks; they'll deal slightly less damage on opponents who are simply walking, running or just standing around. If a Soul hits an opponent who is taunting it won’t deal damage at all. That’s why it’s a ‘Smart’ gun - it only hurts bad people!

Side Special[]

Bomb Gauntlet: Arzette winds up and charges forward a short distance with the Bomb Gauntlet equipped, similar to Terry’s Burn Knuckle. The punch has an explosive knockback, slightly less than that of a Bob-Omb, but requires Power Stones to use. It can only be used 5 times per Stock, making it similar to Banjo & Kazooie’s Wonderwing but without the added invincibility.

Up Special[]

Magic Door: A randomly coloured door with an up arrow appears behind Arzette. She enters it and exits out a similar door that appears a short distance away. You can tilt the control stick to determine which direction the exit door appears in. These doors are based on the ones from Arzette’s Hotel Mario-inspired bonus minigames.

Down Special[]

Sacred Candle: Arzette takes out a pink candle and crouches down, igniting the ground in front of her and causing a decent sized flame to flare up. While not too great as an offensive tool, these candles are especially effective against shields, dealing multiple hits and potentially breaking the shield if it isn’t at full charge.

Final Smash[]

Jewel of Faramore: Arzy winds up and throws the book at ‘em - the Book of Oakurin, that is! This book was once used to seal Daimur, and now any opponent that gets hit by it is trapped in a cinematic finisher. The Jewel of Faramore’s five shards zoom around the opponent, buffeting them to deal damage, before flying over to be absorbed into Arzette’s sword. It transforms into the upgraded ‘Smart Chainsword’, which Arzette throws at her stunned opponent. It burrows into them, zapping them with magic and exploding in a vibrant flash of pink energy. The scene returns to the match and sends the opponent flying.

Unique Traits[]

Arzette’s ‘Smart Sword’ is different from regular swords - it hurts those who aren’t friendly, and it makes people talk! Any attack that uses her sword has a 1/16 chance to force an opponent to perform a random taunt (as long as they are on the ground). This allows her a chance to follow up, although Smart Sword attacks will be less powerful when used on opponents mid-taunt - try grabbing them instead, or follow up with another strong move like the Bomb Gauntlet!

By holding down to crouch and pressing jump, Arzette will quickly dart backward a short distance. It won’t make you invulnerable like Rolling normally does, but it also won’t become slower with repeated use.

Arzette can move left and right while crouching to crouch walk (or ‘duckwalk’ as it’s known in Faramore!)
