Having evolved from Applin after feeding it a Sweet Apple, Appletun has gone from a simple apple to an apple pie! Appleton’s body is covered in a sweet nectar which is loved by both children and Bug-type Pokemon. Appletun can even use this nectar to attack and keep away unwanted predators like Lechonk. When it is exposed to Gigantamax energy, Appletun will grow into a towering giant apple with its dragon-like body sitting comfortably inside of it. Strangely, both Appletun and its counterpart Flapple have identical Gigantamax forms.
Attack Description[]
Appletun will remain stationary on the field and do nothing so long as it is left alone. However if an opposing fighter gets too close to Appletun, Appletun will spit out some of its Apple Acid at them as an attack. Apple Acid comes out as a stream of liquid, as if Appletun was just spitting it out, and if it strikes an opponent it will do a small amount of damage to them while the Apple Acid sticks to their body. This Apple Acid has properties similar to that of the Inkling’s ink as fighters who are covered in the Apple Acid will take increased damage from any attack that hits them while also having their movement speed slightly lowered. The Apple Acid will wear off after a short time, but until then try to avoid getting hit.
