In the world of Pokemon, not every Pokemon evolves the same way if the conditions are enough to change their evolutionary path. One such Pokemon is Dugtrio. While most of the world has hairless pure Ground-type Dugtrios, the Alola region’s Dugtrios are Ground/Steel-type and have long golden locks of hair. This “hair” however is actually made out of thin strands of steel which continue to grow longer through Alolan Dugtrio’s life. They are even able to use their hair to detect vibrations from several miles away.
Attack Description[]
Alolan Dugtrio operates similarly to the Diglett Poke Ball as not long after it appears it will dig itself into the stage and vanish. However while Diglett will repeatedly pop out of the ground in several locations and rapid succession, Alolan Dugtrio will wait a while longer before… *POW*! Alolan Dugtrio will suddenly make itself known beneath the feet of another fighter as it's covered in a sheen of metal. This attack doesn’t give much warning before Alolan Dugtrio bursts out of the ground to hit a fighter from below. If Alolan Dugtrio manages to connect the fighter will be propelled up into the air at great speed. Whether the attack succeeds or not, Alolan Dugtrio will leave the stage. If it succeeded, the three Dugtrio heads will wave their hair in joy. However if they failed then Dugtrio will hang its heads in shame and look sad.
