Character Info[]

Aeron is a soft-spoken soldier and weapons master from Athos who is tasked with traversing Pandora's Tower to obtain Master Flesh for his girlfriend, Elena. Without it, she would be damned to life as a monster, hellbent on destruction. Their unlikely relationship—the two being from warring nations—can only be salvaged if Aeron saves her in time. With the mysterious Mavda's help, Aeron just might succeed—although who knows how many have already traversed the cursed domain? Aeron will use the Oraclos Chain, Athosian Sword, Twin Blades, and Military Scythe with diligence to achieve his goals.

General Information[]

Entrance[]

Aeron appears on stage in a burst of dark energy, brought to the fray by Mavda, her husband hoisted upon her back.

Kirby Hat[]

Kirby grows a head of Aeron's hair, plus his flowing scarves.

Taunts[]

Up Taunt: Aeron brandishes whatever weapon he is presently wielding. If he wields the Oraclos Chain, he will loop it around his hands and straighten it. He will tout the Athosian Sword over his shoulder with a grunt, hold the Twin Blades outwards as they shine in the sun, and tap the Military Scythe on the ground twice before holding it out towards his opponents.

Down Taunt: Aeron holds Master Flesh his hand, muttering, "For you, Elena..."

Side Taunt: With a grunt, Aeron spins whatever weapon he is presently wielding in place before returning to his battle pose.

Victory Poses[]

  1. Aeron swings whichever weapon he was last wielding forward. Elena stands in the background, cheering him on.
  2. Aeron rests his head on Elena's, holding both of her hands in his. She says, "Just a little further, Aeron," or "Aeron, you're doing great."
  3. Carrying a pot of stew, Elena sheepishly says, "I made you something to celebrate, Aeron!" Aeron blushes, scratching his back as he looks towards her.

Moveset[]

Standard Special[]

Power Strike: If the special attack button is simply pressed, Aeron will perform a simple attack with his currently equipped weapon. While wielding the Oraclos Chain, he'll hold onto half of it and slash it forward, dishing out damage similar to an uncharged Shield Breaker courtesy of Marth as it travels just about as far, only from a diagonal. With the Athosian Sword, he'll slice forward to a similar distance, downwards with the blade. With the Twin Blades, he will actually toss both forward, though they will only travel about as far as two Kirbys and deal minor damage. With the Military Scythe, he will arc it upwards, slashing any foes within reach. Charged up, however, the move has different properties. Holding down the special attack button will see a blue circle begin to form around Aeron, much like Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing. Once the blue circle hits Aeron, releasing the special attack button will see him unleash a Power Strike version of that same attack. The Oraclos Chain will travel about twice as far while dealing heavier damage, the Athosian Sword will dish out a stronger blow along with a slow-moving crescent-shaped projectile; the Twin Blades travel three times as quickly, three times as far, and three times as hard, and Aeron will drag the Military Scythe upwards, then downwards, in a flurry of combo-friendly strikes that are capable of breaking a shield with ease.

Side Special[]

Binding Chains: Regardless of what weapon he is wielding at the moment, Aeron whips the Oraclos Chain forward. It travels about 1.5x as far as the Belmonts' Vampire Killer would, though it is easier to telegraph with its slower movement speed. If Aeron hits an item with the Oraclos Chain, he will pull it towards him and grab onto it. If he hits a wall with it, he will barrel forward, using the Oraclos Chain as a hookshot. If the Oraclos Chain connects with an opponent, Aeron will pull back, attaching pieces of the magical chain to his opponents while he is free to continue to use the weapon. This reduces the opponent's speed to 0.25x for upwards of 10 seconds while they are unable to attack; dependent on current damage percentages and how hard they fight back against the magic chains, they'll probably shimmy their way out sooner. Using Binding Chain on another opponent will suddenly connect the Oraclos Chain between the two opponents. While they are chained together, any damage dealt to one opponent will also damage the other. The connected chain can be broken by outside means, like too much jerking between the two trapped opponents, or by someone else attacking it enough. If Aeron attaches the Oraclos Chain to an item while an opponent is chained, the item will travel to the opponent and potentially hurt them if it is anything from a Bob-omb to a Barrel, or otherwise simply keep beside the opponent in the case of Food. If Aeron attaches the Oraclos Chain to a wall while the opponent is chained, the opponent will go hurling towards the wall, being dished damage upon impact, but also freeing themselves of the chain.

Up Special[]

Athosian Tear: Regardless of what weapon he is wielding at the moment, Aeron leaps into the air, slicing the Athosian Sword in a crescent-shaped arc over his head. It reaches from one side of his body to the other, effectively covering a 180 degree angle as he barrels upwards. Anyone caught in the midst of the attack will be dealt considerable damage. Pressing the special attack button again while in the air will have Aeron perform a circular spin with the move, further damaging opponents with his acrobatics. This will set Aeron into freefall, with the tradeoff being that he can use this secondary spin move as many times as he'd like until he hits the ground.

Down Special[]

Military Rend: Regardless of what weapon he is wielding at the moment, Aeron lifts the hefty Military Scythe up, slamming it into the ground. Uncharged, it deals out some decent damage and knockback in itself, given the weight of the weapon as Aeron drags it forward and lets it loose. At full charge, though, the move will see Aeron more efficiently slam it into the ground. The top curve of the scythe is a tipper, and could contribute to an early KO for an opponent if it connects with them during this move. A critical hit will see the camera dynamically zoom in towards Aeron with all of the usual bells and whistles associated with the effect, and the opponent will be sent flying. It is also extremely proficient at breaking shields. Otherwise, Aeron might also ground his opponents caught in the scythe's wrath, leaving them open to further attack.

Final Smash[]

The Thirteenth Master: The camera zooms in on Aeron's face as he looks uncharacteristically worried. When it pans out, the Thirteenth Master of Pandora's Tower, Zeron, appears in the background. Looming about twice as large as Metal Face, the creature will never travel into the foreground to take out its grievances personally. But, it will lift its arms outwards, a pulsing, angelic light glowing from between its six-pronged Master Flesh as it forms an arc over its head. Suddenly, the light mutates into six shimmering columns of light. Zeron sends them hurling into the stage, traveling in half-circular arcs as they power through the stage. Anyone hit by Zeron's beams will be dealt significant damage and knockback. Anyone who isn't hit by them—consider yourself lucky!

Extra Skill[]

Weapon Swap: Aeron is capable of wielding four weapons: the Oraclos Chain, Athosian Sword, Twin Blades, and Military Scythe. These weapons will alter the way that Aeron fights. The Oraclos Chain is a far-reaching, slower moving weapon with properties similar to the Vampire Killer. The Athosian Sword is a well-rounded blade with some lag behind its stronger movements, like with Smash attacks. The Twin Blades are light dual swords that see Aeron lighter on his feet, and can sometimes be treated as projectiles. The Military Scythe is an unwieldy, powerful tool that needs a technical thumb to master its finer touches; doing so will have devastating consequences for Aeron's enemies. Using the Extra Skill inputs will see Aeron swap between these weapons on the fly. Not only will some of his standard inputs change—even properties of his Special Attacks will!

Unique Traits[]

With the crouch input, Aeron can duckwalk. He can also wall jump.
