Stage Info[]
Aensland Castle is the home of the Aensland family and one of the three seats of power of the demon world Makai. This castle is currently home to the succubus Morrigan Aensland, who holds no love for the castle and even abandoned it in her youth. Even when Morrigan became the new head of the family she did little to take care of the house until she and her castle were forcibly pulled into Jedah Dohma’s dark domain, the Majigen. Though it’s unclear, it is assumed that after Morrigan’s defeat of Jedah that she returned to Aensland Castle to more properly fulfill her role as the family’s head and ruler of Makai.
Stage Layout[]
The Aensland Castle stage has its layout and design pulled straight out of the Makai and Deserted Chateau stages from the Darkstalkers series. This means that the stage has a completely flat ground from one side of the blast zones to the other.
As an enhancement to the stage however, three soft platforms can appear over the stage over either its center, or its left or right sides. These platforms rise out of the ground taking the appearance of a group of bats flying together and can float up and down. Eventually these bats will grow tired of flying together and they will sink back down into the ground to take a rest before eventually lifting back up into the air and acting as a platform again. These platforms can appear and move all at once, or individually.
