Character Info[]
YoRHa No.2 Type B, 2B for short, is an android created to combat machine lifeforms in the effort to prepare the Earth for the eventual return of the humans. 2B is equipped with a variety of weaponry for close-quarters combat and also comes with a Pod unit to assist her with both long-range combat and support skills. 2B was also partnered with a scanner unit, 9S, who assisted her in her missions to the planet. Together the two of them discovered new developments in the machine lifeforms including personality and consciousness, and even the fact that some machines desired peace. This went against their known knowledge of the machines and required further investigation.
General Information[]
Entrance[]
A large vending machine-like machine will appear on the stage. The machine’s front will open up and reveal 2B waiting inside of it. 2B will step out of the machine as it closes its door and vanishes behind her.
Kirby Hat[]
Kirby will have 2B’s battle-ready bob atop his head, complete with headband. Kirby will also have 2B’s blindfold across his eyes which almost makes him look entirely like 2B’s head.
Taunts[]
Up Taunt: 2B’s Pod will repeatedly flash a light and create a flashlight beam in front of it that goes *click* *click*, *click* *click* in an annoying fashion.
Down Taunt: 2B will perform the YoRHa salute and place her hand horizontally across her chest and say, “Glory… to mankind.”
Side Taunt: 2B will reach out to her Pod and pet it gently. As this occurs the Pod will respond with one of several voice lines. Possible voice lines include, “Report: Affinity increased.”, “Report: No damage detected.”, “Proposal: Continue to provide care for this pod.”, “Report: Pleasant.”, “Gratitude confirmed. Your affinity with this pod has risen.”, “Report:Satisfied.”, or “Performance at regular intervals appreciated.”
Victory Poses[]
- 2B will swing around her swords, switching between them, before she ends with a twirl and points her sword directly towards the camera. As this occurs 2B will say, “Everything that lives is designed to end.”
- 2B will swing her light sword once before sheathing it on her back. 9S will be heard in 2B’s comms saying, “Phew, nice work 2B!”
- 2B will fly onto the screen in her flight unit before leaping out of it and landing on the stage.
Moveset A[]
Standard Special[]
Laser: 2B’s pod will start to spark with golden electricity as it charges up an attack. This attack will always take a couple seconds before it fires off a thin laser beam straight forwards, but charging up the attack will increase the length and width of the beam without increasing the damage. Depending on charge, the range will vary between just shy of 2/3rds the length of Battlefield up to the full length of Battlefield.
Side Special[]
Hammer: 2B’s pod will raise up slightly into the air as it creates a giant hammer made of solid light from itself. Once the hammer is fully formed the pod will slam the hammer down in front of 2B with impressive force dealing a respectable amount of damage and vertical knockback. This attack is also effective at smashing through an opponent’s shields if they attempt to use them.
Up Special[]
Wire: 2B’s pod will fire out a wire of solid golden light which quickly zips forward to attach itself to the first thing it encounters. Whatever the wire latches onto, whether it's the ledge of a platform, a wall, ceiling, or even another fighter, 2B will be quickly pulled right up to the target. If the wire attaches itself to something (or someone) that can take damage, they will only take a tiny amount of 1% damage. This wire can be angled and aimed omnidirectionally which allows 2B to have a good range of mobility and it has a range of about half of Final Destination. If 2B is in the air when using this move and fails to hit anything with it then she will enter a state of freefall until she lands back down on the stage.
Down Special[]
P Shield: 2B will pause her movements wherever she is as a series of shields will encircle themselves around her. If an opponent hits 2B with a melee attack while this shield is up, 2B won’t take any damage and the offending fighter will be forced back away from 2B as they stumble backwards. The opposing fighter won’t take any damage, but they will be out of it for a moment allowing 2B a chance to swoop in and attack. 2B can hold this shield up for a couple seconds, but the longer she does, the weaker the shield gets as stronger attacks will be able to pierce through the shield. 2B’s shield will be instantly destroyed if 2B is hit by a ranged attack. As long as this shield remains up, 2B will be unable to move.
Final Smash[]
YoRHa Flight Unit Type-B: A YoRHa flight unit will fly in towards 2B as 2B gets inside and flies off screen. 2B will reappear in the background of the stage before her flight unit fires out a mass volley of laser bullets which spread out all around the stage in a semi-random pattern. After several seconds of this a large severed arm, formerly belonging to an Engels unit, will fly up from below being controlled by 2B’s pod. At this point 2B’s bullet barrage will halt as a reticle appears on stage. 2B will have a couple seconds to select a target for the reticle before swinging Engel’s arm twice diagonally forming an X and inflicting a heavy amount of damage and knockback to any fighters that were hit by the arm.
Extra Skill[]
Pod Swap: 2B will start out with a default moveset of Laser, Hammer, Wire, and P Shield. When the Extra Skill input is tapped, 2B will swing out her hand towards her Pod as she commands it to change what Pod Programs are currently installed in it. An additional visual indicator of a flash of white light overcoming the Pod before it fades away. Once this occurs, 2B’s special movers will change to Blade, Volt, Wave, and Decoy. Tapping the Extra Skill input a second time will switch 2B’s special moves to Scanner, Spear, Missile, and Repair. Tapping the Extra Skill for a third time will return 2B to her default special moves. Players can also start out the battle using a specific set of special moves by opening a mini menu after selecting 2B on the character select screen.

Standard Special[]
Blade: A short energy blade will expand out from the pod as it floats down towards 2B’s midsection and begins to spin rapidly around her. 2B is free to run and jump around as well as make other attacks as the pod continues to spin around 2B and provide her what’s essentially a damaging shield that hurts opponents who get within melee range of 2B while knocking them back. The pod will continue this attack for about 5 seconds before thepod retracts the blade and returns to its usual position. If this special move is used in quick succession, the damage it will inflict and the amount of time that it lasts will be reduced.
Side Special[]
Volt: A thin spark of electricity will be fired from 2B’s pod which will travel for about 1.5x Bowsers before exploding out into a sphere of electrical energy, or until it hits an opposing fighter or some other solid object. The initial lightning strand will inflict damage as well as the exploding sphere, but the electrical sphere does less damage to everything in its radius which is about 1.5x Kirbys. Anything that is hit by the sphere will take a small amount of damage over time for the next three seconds, but this damage will not interrupt any of their movements or attacks.
Up Special[]
Wave: 2B will leap up into air a short distance before looking back down at the ground and punching down towards it. This will send a command to the pod to fire out a blast of electricity towards the ground which will explode out into a sphere. If 2B was too high up for the sphere to make contact with the ground then this special move ends here. However if the pod’s attack makes contact with a platform then waves of electricity energy will travel along that platform to the left and right from the point of impact. These waves inflict considerably less damage and knockback than the sphere, but they travel quickly.
Down Special[]
M Shield: 2B will pause her movements wherever she is as a sphere of golden triangles forms around her. If an opponent hits 2B with a ranged attack while this shield is up, the shield will absorb the projectile attack entirely and prevent 2B from taking any damage. 2B can hold this shield up for a couple seconds, but the longer she does, the weaker the shield gets as stronger attacks will be able to pierce through the shield. 2B’s shield will be instantly destroyed if 2B is hit by a melee attack. As long as this shield remains up, 2B will be unable to move.

Standard Special[]
Scanner: 2B’s pod will point at the ground diagonally and emit a series of ultrasonic waves as the pod scans the ground in front of it. This special move has two different uses. If another fighter is caught in the pod’s scan, then the pod will reveal the fighter’s weak points which allows 2B to inflict 1.3x damage to that fighter for the next 7 seconds as she knows exactly where to hit them to make it hurt. Alternatively, if the scan hits the ground uninterrupted a random item will spawn in the area that was scanned which 2B can pickup and use.
Side Special[]
Spear: Spears made of solid light will shoot up from the ground in front of 2B and continue in a line forwards for a short distance. These spears quickly shoot up to inflict damage on opponents and knock them straight up into the air. By charging up the move these spears will extend further out into a line and also shoot up slightly higher in the air. The variance in range is roughly between 1/3rd - 2/3rds of Battlefield and roughly the height of Olimar’s Pikmin to the height of Mario.
Up Special[]
Missile: 2B will grab onto her pod as it forms a shell-like barrier of electricity in front of itself. The pod will then rocket forward, taking 2B with it, as the two travel in a straight line. This move can be aimed omnidirectionally to have 2B fly forwards in any direction. This move will inflict only a small amount of damage and knockback to opponents that 2B rams into as they are pushed out of her way.
Down Special[]
Repair: 2B’s pod will shine down a bright light onto the stage and create a healing field inside of it. Any fighter, 2B or otherwise, that stands in this field will be slowly healed of some of their damage for so long as they remain in the light. Fighters can be knocked away from the field as per usual and the field will not move so long as this move is active. The field will stay up for about 5 seconds or until 2B presses the Down Special input again. While the field is active, 2B cannot use any other special moves as the pod is busy keeping the healing field up.
